Stearic Acid
Internal and external lubricant plus viscosity depressant with excellent lubricity — supplied in multiple grades differentiated by acid, saponification and iodine value.

Overview
Grade SCI-305-SA
Stearic acid is one of the most versatile lubricants in PVC processing — used in pipe, plates, profiles and film manufacture. It acts as both an internal and external lubricant and as a viscosity depressant, with excellent lubricity and good light and heat stability, and it also serves the rubber and cosmetics industries. We supply multiple grades differentiated by acid value, saponification value and iodine value, so the grade can be matched precisely to your specification; the figures below are for the SCI-305-SA grade.
Key Properties
- Internal + external lubricant in one product
